Deaf Muslim Expo Materials

To create a logo for this bi-annual conference, I focused on two main concepts of "Deaf Muslim Expo". These concepts were "deaf" and "Muslim". For the "deaf" aspect, I included the American Sign Language letter "D" inside the letter "D". For the "Muslim" aspect, I integrated the symbol of Islam as the letter "O". I finalized the logo by providing variations such as a full and short version, to accommodate all purposes.

After the logo became finalized, it started to distributed on various promotional materials such as backdrop, stickers, travel bottles, tote bags for attendees, etc. To ensure the consistency of the brand, these materials are aligned with Deaf Muslim Expo (DME)'s color branding.

Social media is a powerful tool for promoting events. My responsibilities included creating social media design materials and posting them on various platforms to keep the event engaging and active. According to a DME survey of post-event attendees, 20% of respondents heard about the event through social media, while 40% learned about it through word of mouth, possibly by sharing Instagram videos with friends. Some of the event reels on DME's social media were viewed over 5,000-10,000 times.

During the DME event, I have been assigned as a social media videographer by posting stories and reels. The attendees wore their cultural clothing according to the Gala dress code, and I asked some of them where their clothes were from while recording. I edited the video and added captions to translate American Sign Language. This was one of fun projects I have done from DME!
