Book Design
For my senior project, I set out to create a pop-up interactive book about food. I used paragraph and character stylesheets in InDesign to maintain consistent fonts and colors. This project provided me with valuable insights into the connection between flat and 3D designs, book layout formatting, and color coordination.
One of my other book projects showcases standard book formatting in InDesign. I designed the book cover, including the spine, to create a continuous landscape when the book is opened. I used facing pages with accurate margin sizes to avoid overlapping into the spine of the book when printed. To adhere to the standard book layout, I chose left-aligned justified paragraphs and a leading size to make it convenient for readers to read between the lines.
